Slack is primary. Check it regularly during working hours. Some clients use Slack Connect (you join their workspace). Others prefer email. Your client will confirm.

When to escalate to ThirstySprout

  • Blocked for more than 1 business day
  • Scope is changing or client requests extra work
  • Payment or time tracking issues
  • Any professional conduct concerns

Scope changes

Don’t start out-of-scope work without looping in ThirstySprout first.
All scope changes need approval from ThirstySprout leadership. This protects you from unpaid work.

Running low on work?

  1. Tell your client what you need to proceed
  2. Propose alternative tasks (tests, docs, refactors)
  3. If blocked 1+ day, bring in ThirstySprout

Time off

  • Provide 1 week notice when possible
  • Message ThirstySprout support on Slack
  • Coordinate coverage with your client
For emergencies, message your client and ThirstySprout ASAP.
